The 16-year-old's family spoke of their grief as police revealed the results of the post-mortem held yesterday, which confirmed her as the teenager found on a pathway in the Rotherham suburb.
"We are devastated at the loss of our beautiful daughter and sister Leonne," they said, in a statement released by South Yorkshire Police this afternoon.

Leonne's body was discovered by a member of the public on a lane off Lordens Hill on Monday morning, shortly after she had been reported missing.
An 18-year-old man arrested that evening on suspicion of murder remains in custody, as does a 26-year-old woman arrested last night on suspicion of assisting an offender.
Temporary Detective Chief Inspector Martin Tate, the man leading the investigation, said: "Leonne’s family have had their entire lives turned upside down over the last couple of days and are utterly devastated.
