Tributes pour in for ‘peaceful soul’ stabbed to death in Sheffield

Police were called to what they describe as a ‘large-scale disturbance’ on Horninglow Road in the Firth Park area shortly after midnight on Saturday.
A 35-year-old man was taken to hospital with stab wounds to his upper body but was sadly pronounced dead shortly after.
He has not yet been named by officials.

Hide AdPaying tribute through The Star, Angie Ferguson said: “RIP young man.
“All who knew you know you were a gentle and peaceful soul.
“This is so wrong.
“So shocking and sad.”
Laura Carol described him as a ‘top guy’ who will ‘always be missed’.
Emma Field said: “A family’s world has been ripped apart.
“So very sad.”
Yasmin Aslam added: “Condolences to all who have been affected.
“When will this madness end, beautiful lives being lost.”
Three other men suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the same incident and are receiving treatment.

Hide AdA South Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: “Detectives are carrying out enquiries and an investigation is underway to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding the incident.
“There will be an increased police presence in the area for the rest of the weekend.”
