Some of those sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court have been put behind bars and placed on orders to monitor their future movements and they are featured here.
They include rapists, molesters as well as paedophiles who have attempted to engage in sexual activities with youngsters.
Judges have imposed a range of sentences from three-years of custody to a formal life sentence with orders for defendants to be placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register and to be made subject to Sexual Harm Prevention Orders.
1. Jamie Miller
Jamie Miller, aged 40, of Carlton Road, Barnsley, was found guilty of a number of offences including rape, assault by penetration, sexual assault, three counts of sexual assault on a child and making indecent photos of a child. 2. Bradley Simpkins
Bradley Simpkins, aged 21, of Arbourthorne Road, Arbourthorne, attacked a 13-year-old girl in Gleadless Valley and a woman, aged 18, in Gleadless. He pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault. 3. Jamie Ellis
Jamie Ellis, aged 41, of Belmont Avenue, Chapeltown, Sheffield, admitted attempting to meet a child who was actually a police decoy.
He admitted three counts of attempting to incite a child to engage in sexual activity and one count of attempting to meet a child following sexual grooming.
Ellis was jailed for four years, placed on the Sex Offenders’ Register indefinitely and put under a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for 15 years. Photo: South Yorkshire Police
4. Curtis Critchley
Curtis Critchley, aged 19, of Redwall Close, Dinnington, Sheffield, admitted two counts of causing a child to engage in sexual activity and one of penetrative sexual activity from March, 2020, as well as stealing clothing, handling stolen clothing, and two counts of possessing indecent photos from August and September, 2019. He was sentenced to three years and four months in a Young Offender Institution, must register as a sex offender for life and was placed on a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for ten years and given a ten-year restraining order.
