The injuries followed what police call a ‘large-scale disturbance’ with some reports suggesting as many as 200 people had been out on the street during the evening.
Residents this morning described dozens of police vehicles flooding the area at around midnight while the police helicopter flew overhead.
Most people in the area described the neighbourhood as generally quiet while others said there had been occasional bursts of disorder.
