The Sheffield North East neighbourhood policing team praised the Burngreave community for its support after information passed on to officers led to the arrest of a wanted man.
Officers swooped at a house, where they found the man asleep, and arrested him on a prison recall.

“Within minutes officers swarmed on the address and apprehended the male, mid-siesta, and swiftly conveyed him to custody. The male, having been recalled to prison for further offending since his release, was also wanted for these offences and was subsequently interviewed prior to the prison bus’ arrival.”
The team added: “This particular arrest, and many like it, would not have been possible without the continued good working relationship the team have with partner agencies, local businesses and members of the community.
“We are under no illusion that we wouldn't have half the success we have without that fantastic working relationship we have built up over the years with the community.
