Sheffield police send Covid warning letters to parents of four kids caught breaking rules

In a crackdown on young people gathering on the streets and committing anti-social behaviour in Woodhouse during the latest national lockdown, police letters have been sent to the parents of four youths caught breaching Covid rules.
South Yorkshire Police warned that the letters come before enforcement and prosecution.

Hide AdThe Sheffield South East neighbourhood policing team said: “Following recent reports of anti-social behaviour in the Woodhouse area, officers have been working to address these problems.
“We have now issued two Community Protection Notices, which which seek to change the behaviour of individuals and provides further powers to prosecute for non conformity.
“One male has been dealt with for intentional harassment and has been reported for the offence.
“Furthermore, parents of four individuals have been issued with warning letters for their children breaching Covid regulations.
