Murder probe continues after arrest of suspect over Sheffield death

A 26-year-old man was killed in Sheffield city centre in the early hours of Tuesday.
He died of head injuries believed to have been sustained in a fight.

Hide AdThe man was found unconscious at the junction of Union Street and Charles Street at 3.30am and despite the efforts of emergency services to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
A 25-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on Wednesday remained in police custody last night.
The murder scene was cordoned off and examined by CSI officers following the discovery of the body.
Detectives investigating the murder want to hear from witnesses or anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious.
