Man left with life threatening injuries after stabbing outside Sheffield mosque
and live on Freeview channel 276
Witnesses reported a man running into the nearby Markazi Jamia Masjid mosque to get assistance with his injuries. An ambulance arrived shortly afterwards.
Police reported that a 35- year-old man was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries.

Hide AdA 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in custody. Police stressed this is not believed to be a racially motivated hate incident.
Moulana Jamal, Imam at Markazi Jamia Masjid mosque, said: “The victim managed to come into the Masjid asking for help. Alhamdulillah a few brothers helped the victim until the police and paramedics arrived at the scene.
“The matter is now firmly in the hands of the police to carry out any further investigation.
"Furthermore, due to ongoing police investigation around the Masjid area, access to Industry Road and the Masjid has been sealed off by the police.

Hide Ad“Therefore as it stands, unfortunately the Masjid remains closed until further notice.
“As soon as the Masjid is able to reopen then Insha’Allah you will be informed immediately.”
Enquiries are ongoing and officers remain at the scene.
A spokesperson for South Yorkshire Police said: “It is believed to be a targeted attack on the individual, and is thought to be part of an ongoing dispute. This is not believed to be a hate incident.
“Officers from the local neighbourhood team will be conducting patrols in the area to offer reassurance to the local community.”
