Parkinson called her 60 times and left numerous voicemails, one of which said: "If I get my hands on you I swear I will kill you."
The next day he made between 40 and 50 calls to her and members of her family, threatening to kill himself, in what his partner said was a "psychological ploy to make her feel bad."

The court heard their relationship was "marred by domestic violence and controlling behaviour, and Parkinson throttled and beat the woman with a belt on one occasion.
"She never sought medical treatment or called the police because she was simply too intimidated," said Ms Alam. "It was conduct designed to maximise fear or distress."
But the court heard there was no record of convictions to say he had a "proven history" of violence, even though he was convicted of battery for 2010.
