- The 24-year-old was found with gunshot wounds close to Mount Pleasant Park on Abbeydale Road, Sheffield.
- Emergency services were alerted to the gun attack at around 8.30pm.

Hide Ad- A police cordon was put in place for crime scene investigative work to be carried out.
- Officers also did a trawl of the area for CCTV footage and a police helicopter was deployed to monitor the area from the air.
- The gunshot victim was taken to hospital for treatment and remains there today, although his injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
- Today, the police cordon remains in place – between Okey Cafe and Pit Stop Tyres.

Hide Ad- Police dogs have been taken to the crime scene and door-to-door enquiries are being carried out.
- There have been a spate of shootings over recent weeks, including one just over a week ago, when a man was shot in his foot on Harwell Road, just off Abbeydale Road.
- A dog was also shot on Abbeydale Road in July in one of three incidents in the space of 24 hours. In the other shootings, rival groups opened fire at each other on Machon Bank, Nether Edge and a house window was shot in nearby Union Street.
- No arrests have yet been made.
