They have been pulled over on roads including Penistone Road this morning as officers take to the streets to look for those who may be over the limit the morning after a night out over the festive season.
Last year in December, just under 200 drivers were arrested for drink driving.

Hide AdInspector Jason Booth said: “There is no way of knowing how long it will take for alcohol to be processed by your body, everyone is different.
“After a night out, you could still be over the legal limit the following day, which is just as dangerous.
“We are urging everyone this year to think, is it worth it? You can plan ahead, book a taxi, organise a lift, but please don’t get behind the wheel. £20 for a taxi is nothing compared to the devastation you could cause by driving over the limit.”
