Double tragedy for family of Ricky Collins after brother killed in Sheffield motorbike crash

Ricky Collins died after an attack in Killamarsh on Monday night, with his death triggering a murder probe.
He was found injured at the junction of Westthorpe Road and Upperthorpe Road and was rushed to hospital but despite the efforts of medics could not be saved.

Hide AdDerbyshire Constabulary said officers were deployed to Killamarsh following reports of a disturbance in a house on Westthorpe Road at around 10pm on the night of the attack.
The crime scene remains cordoned off and under police guard this morning while police enquiries into the murder continue.
Detectives are treating the attack as an ‘isolated incident’.
Ricky's family is still coming to terms with the loss of his brother, Liam Michael Collins, who died in a motorbike accident in October 2014.

Hide AdThe 27-year-old was involved in a collision with a car on Mansfield Road, Intake, close to the junction with Cadman Road.
A family friend said Ricky’s mum is ‘heartbroken’ over the loss of her remaining son.
Posting on Facebook, she wrote: “RIP Ricky, you’re with your brother now.”
Detectives investigating Ricky’s death want to hear from witnesses or anyone who was driving in the area at the time who has a dashcam.
