Hide AdRob Coyne, prosecuting, said: “This defendant has accepted he performed an overtaking manoeuvre at speed on this white car and as he has done it the white car appears to have lost control but we don’t know how. And it careered into the other carriageway into a vehicle with a driver, passenger and a three-year-old child.”
Mr Coyne added that after the collision the driver of the white car got into Guest’s BMW before the defendant drove away.
The court heard the driver of the white car was dealt with separately for failing to stop after he handed himself in.
Guest told police he had been driving over the speed limit and he had been overtaking during the incident on August 4.

Guest pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention, without a licence and without insurance.
Clarkson Baptiste, defending, said even though Guest does not have a licence he is an expert off-road stock car racer and he does cars up.
Mr Baptiste added that having the BMW on the driveway was too much temptation for Guest and it was fortunate there were no serious injuries during the collision.
