The popular city park was packed yesterday as groups met to enjoy the spring sunshine.
But onlookers have criticised some of those who visited the park for breaching Covid rules, which currently allow a maximum of six people to meet outdoors.

City residents have also expressed outrage today at the state the park was left in, with beer bottles, cans, takeaway wrappers and bags strewn across the grass.
Bins were overflowing this morning when Sheffield Council workers arrived at the park to clean up the litter.
Disappointed resident Susan Tester said: “We live in the most beautiful part of the country and this is what they do.

John Russell added: “I’ve never seen it as bad as this. It’s like Glastonbury.
"My friend has filled four bags of rubbish, it is disgusting really.”
Jeanette Taylor added: “It’s shocking. How can they generate so much rubbish?

It is understood that people were in the park until the early hours of this morning and there are fears of a repeat today, with more warm weather expected.
