Arrests made and £11k worth of Class A drugs seized in Burngreave police raids

Yesterday morning (November 12) officers carried out a warrant at a property on Bressingham Road which was believed to be involved in the importing of the controlled drug ‘khat’.
The team recovered over 12 kilos of the drug, valued at around £8,000, and arrested two men at the scene. They have been released under investigation whilst forensic enquiries continue.

Hide AdA large quantity of cash was also seized from the address. Later during their shift, the team executed a stop on a vehicle.
Sergeant Ben Hall explains: “Officers stopped the car and discovered a significant amount of Class A drugs stashed inside internal panels.
“A woman was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply class A drugs. She has been released under investigation whilst enquiries continue.
“The street value of the drugs is estimated to be around £3,000.
