Another man arrested after THIRD raid in one day following Sheffield shootings

Officers searched a property in Heeley Green on Thursday, 26 May and seized a Seat Leon car on Penns Road as part of the operation.
It comes after no fewer than six shootings in the city throughout May, including four in less than 24 hours between May 7 and 8. It is not known which of the shootings this arrest is in connection with.

Hide AdA 22-year-old was also arrested in Heeley this morning as police swooped at a home on Derby Street.
He was detained on suspicion of attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or harm, and remains in police custody this afternoon. That arrest relates to an ongoing investigation into a shooting at Farish Place, Heeley, on the night of May 14.
Elsewhere, a 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to cause fear or harm following a shooting at Machon Bank at around 6.50pm on Friday 8 May. He has since been bailed.
On Tuesday, three men, aged 18, 36 and 42, were arrested on suspicion of firearms offences, assault and criminal damage following two shootings in Sheffield over the bank holiday weekend, the fifth and sixth shootings this month.
Detective chief inspector Jamie Henderson said: “We are working hard and will continue to do so to disrupt the activity of those that pose a risk to our communities.”
