Coun Liz Redfern, leader, North Lincolnshire Council, said: “This is a really exciting opportunity to showcase the area to delegates. It will enable us to highlight the huge potential North Lincolnshire has to offer on green and renewable energy. The visit is crucial to securing a long-term relationship with out German counterparts and in attracting new business to the area.
“North Lincolnshire is a prosperous and attractive place for businesses. We have the planned £450m Able Marine Energy Park and the £9.5m Humber University Technical College that will specialise in renewables and engineering, plus the wider developments in the Humber region – making it an ideal place to relocate or expand.
“We have some fantastic businesses that we have helped grow through the £10m Regional Growth Fund. To showcase these is important as it demonstrates what a great place North Lincolnshire and the wider region is to invest.”
