City of Sheffield's Natalie Myers leads way in Inter-counties success
Although the South Yorkshire representatives in the Yorkshire teams were outside the medals, there were several significant contributions to the points score.
Natalie Myers (City of Sheffield and Dearne) was fourth in the women’s 3,000-metre walk (15 minutes 55.46 seconds) while Barnsley AC athlete Toni Buckingham was sixth in the shot with a best mark of 12.70m.

Hide AdMichael Copeland (City of Sheffield) was sixth in the 110m hurdles in a personal best time of 14.75 seconds.
The wind was over the legal limit, although than is not always to the advantage of the hurdlers.
Winds were strong throughout the weekend with torrential rain also affecting performances on the second morning.
Also achieving top-eight placings were:
Adam Walker-Khan (City of Sheffield), seventh, 400m.
Cameron Bell (Hallamshire), seventh, mile
Tom Hughes (Hallamshire), seventh, high jump
Abigail Bishell (City of Sheffield), seventh, 100m.
Running for Nottingham, Lee Thompson (City of Sheffield) was third in the 400m (47.26 seconds) while Derbyshire’s Alicia Barrett (Chesterfield) was runner-up in the 100 mhurdles (13.48 seconds).

Hide AdCity of Sheffield shot-putter Hannah Molyneaux, competing for Derbyshire, was fourth in 13.73 seconds.
The Inter-counties meeting was incorporated in the England Championships.
City of Sheffield athletes Tom Parker in the hammer and Matthew Ashley in the high jump were both bronze medallists.
