A swashbuckling show from Sheffield theatre players
The Grenoside and Birley Carr Players are presenting the Gilbert and Sullivan opera The Pirates of Penzance from Tuesday to next Saturday at Grenoside Community Centre on Main Street.
This is the 70th year the society has produced an opera, the first being A Slave in Araby in 1947 when the group was Birley Carr Methodist Musical and Dramatic Society. The last remaining founder member, Margaret Bradley, died recently.
