Some have been demolished, a few buildings have new uses and only Abbeydale Picture House survives as a cinema, although there is still a way to go before it is fully restored. 1. Odeon opening

4. Gaumont glory
The gala opening of the new Gaumont Cinema, Barker's Pool, formerly The Regent, on July 23, 1969. Designed by W E Trent and first opened on December 26, 1927.
