The firm’s announcement came after concerns were raised by a reader of The Sheffield Star who claimed that staff at the branch on Fitzwilliam Street were being told to work despite potentially being in contact with the positive cases.
It is also alleged that the staff have been told they must attend work or risk losing their jobs, however this has been neither confirmed or denied by the bar operator.

In a statement, Revolution Bars Group plc said that nine members of staff at its Sheffield city centre venue had tested positive for Covid-19 over the last six weeks – with each positive case undertaking a period of self-isolation as required.
“These staff are mostly university students who work on a part time basis, all have followed government advice and self-isolated for the required period,” the firm said.
"Following their period of self-isolation and a return to full health, many of those staff have now resumed work. We have followed the government guidelines at all times including all our staff receiving strict training about not attending the premises if they have any of the symptoms of COVID-19.”
