If you are showing any of the following symptoms of Covid-19, however mild, you need to get tested as soon as you can:
- a high temperature
- a new, continuous cough
- a loss or change to your sense of smell or taste
You should only book a test if you have symptoms of Covid-19. If you have coronavirus symptoms, you need to get a test done within the first five days of having symptoms. If you have symptoms you must also self-isolate at home and only leave your home to get a test.

Sheffield regional testing centre
Location: A drive-through testing site is based at Meadowhall Shopping Centre in the overspill car park in plot seven.
How to book: An appointment is required. To book a test online, go to www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or to book a test by phone call 119.
When you can visit: Testing is available to the public between 8am to 8pm seven days a week.

Hide AdTip: Bring your mobile phone with you if you have one, including photo identification such as a driving licence or passport.
Results: You must remain in your car during your visit. There will be someone on-site to register everyone on to the NHS Track and Trace portal. Most people will get their test results the day after taking the test. Some results might take longer, but you should get them in 72 hours.
Sheffield mobile testing unit
Location: A mobile testing unit is based at the Olympic Legacy Park car park, off Worksop Road, Sheffield, S9 3TL.
How to book: To book a test online, go to www.nhs.uk/coronavirus or to book a test by phone call 119. They accept walk-ins so you can attend without an appointment.

Hide AdWhen you can visit: Testing is available to the public between 11am to 3pm seven days a week.
Tip: You will need to wear a face covering during your visit to the site including when you travel to and from the centre. You might like to bring hand sanitiser and a pack of tissues with you. Social distancing must be observed at the site so stay at least two metres apart from other people.
