The latest people to die were aged between 30 and 96, with all but six of them, aged between 72 and 86, having had known underlying health conditions.
Nearly half the deaths (41) were recorded in the North West, with 20 in the North East & Yorkshire.
There were 90 people being treated for coronavirus at Sheffield’s hospitals yesterday, Monday, October 12, NHS bosses revealed, including 10 in intensive care. That’s up from just 20 around three weeks ago.
