Relieved Park Hill developers sell 44 flats in Sheffield
and live on Freeview channel 276
The companies working on Phase 2 of the revamp were worried ‘the most potentially challenging period worldwide’ could hit sales.
But they are ‘encouraged’ that 44 of the 195 flats have gone already.

Developers Urban Splash and Places for People hope the first residents will move in towards the end of next year.
Guy Ackernley, on behalf of the partners, said: “We have seen unprecedented sales for Phase 2 of Park Hill.
“In what could be described as the most unusual and potentially challenging period world-wide, and one that could well have adversely affected the housing market, we have sold an amazing 44 homes in five months.”

Hide AdPhase 1 included 260 flats which are all occupied and home to 700. Phase three will see 350 student bedrooms and flats with between two and eight bedrooms.
Meanwhile, the £35m, 22-storey, 445-bed Gate block on Arundel Gate in the city centre is close to completion.
MRP, the property development and investment division of McAleer & Rushe, says it will be ‘completed and operational for September 2020’.
The website states: ‘The Gate will set a new benchmark for high quality student accommodation offering features, space and a specification rarely seen in the Sheffield market.
