The chain announced last week that it would reopen 15 locations on a ‘limited’ basis across the UK from May 13 after shutting its doors when the lockdown came into force in March.
Delivery and a limited menu will be available at the 15 branches, the locations of which expected to be announced later this week.

Hide AdPaul Pomroy, chief executive officer for McDonald’s UK and Ireland, outlined new measures the chain would put in place for its limited reopening after conducting controlled tests to explore safety options last week.
Perspex screens and floor markings will be introduced in specific areas and the firm will provide additional protective equipment including face masks for staff.
The chain said staff will be asked to confirm they are fit and able to work and will be subject to a temperature test before each shift.
Mcdonald’s will also be introducing social distancing measures for delivery and service partners, such as Uber Eats and Just Eat.

Mr Pomroy said: “To reduce the complexities in our kitchens at menu changeover, we will temporarily not be serving breakfast.
“As we reopen we will explore the ways in which to help our employees safely change over menus and we will reintroduce our breakfast menu as soon as we can.”
He added: “When we return it will be different as we all adjust to this new normal.

“Rest assured, we are working hard to reopen more restaurants, but I am adamant this must be at the right pace with the wellbeing of our employees, suppliers and customers front of mind.”
