Marty Tudor, head of the production company that created the show, described the star as “one of the most important singers of any generation”.
He added: “There’s a reason why it’s so hard to cover a Whitney Houston track. She truly was one of a kind.
“This tour is meant to celebrate Whitney’s legacy and the only way to do that is to be true to who she was and the way she performed, and that’s what we are going to give to the audience.
“Few pop divas were gifted with a voice as glorious as Whitney’s. With this hologram experience fans all over the world will be able to see that magic and feel it all over again.”
